Baby feet and present cupcakes

The baby feet cupcakes are covered in butter cream, I then cut a jellybean in half and dotted the toes on with a icing gel pen.

The presents are made from coloured sugar paste icing, which I then wrapped a ribbon around.

Baby rattle cupcakes

The baby rattle cupcakes are made by first covering cake with butter cream. The rattles are made by wrapping three cut bamboo skewers together with ribbon, tying a bow and then gently pushing the skewers into a ferrero raffaello ball.

Baby shower cupcakes

The teddy bear and stars cupcakes are made using sugar paste icing, which I coloured. Using teddy bear and star cutters, shapes are cut out and then replaced with shapes of different colours and gently rolled into the matching space.

Christening Cake

I made this cake form my nephew's baby dedication. It is a double layered dark chocolate mudcake with a layer of chocolate ganache in between the layers. I then covered it with sugar paste icing. The decorations are also sugar paste icing which I coloured a nice baby blue. I then placed a baby blue ribbon around the base.

Tricerotops Cupcakes

I whipped these up for my sons birthday party to go with a dinosaur theme.
They are iced with chocolate butter cream and then topped with the head of a three horn dinosaur which I cut out of ready made icing which I coloured orange.

Long neck dinosaur birthday cake

I made this dinosaur cake for my sons fourth birthday. I used ready made icing, which turned out a little wrinkly, I really needed an icing smoother. However, I decided he looked like a grandpa dinosaur.

Fire Truck Cupcakes

Posted by PicasaI made these cute little cupcakes for my friend's little boy's third birthday.  He was having a fireman birthday party.

The fire trucks are made of gingerbread biscuits that are decorated with ready made icing.  On top of the actual cakes I piped butter cream: green for the grass where the truck is parked, orange for the fire and blue for the water coming out of the fire truck hose (made out of sugar paste).

Bridal Shower Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for my sister's Bridal Shower. The colour of her bridesmaid dresses was teal, so without letting the guests know this, I tried to keep in with this theme.

Aeroplane Birthday Cake

My youngest son loves planes, so for his second birthday, my husband and I put this aeroplane cake together. My husband cut the shape out of the cake, we then decorated it with plain butter cream. My son also loves purple, so we coloured some butter cream purple for the engines. The windows are make out of sugar paste icing that we coloured purple. The teddy on the tail is also made out of sugar paste icing coloured orange.
